Esmeralda Akpoke is a dedicated community advocate, local Conservative campaigner, and Chair of Holborn and St Pancras Conservatives. Known for her positive outlook, approachable leadership style, and commitment to public service, she has built a reputation for listening carefully to residents and working hard to ensure local voices are heard. Having lived in Camden for many years, Esmeralda is passionate about strengthening community cohesion, supporting vulnerable people, and helping to create safer, cleaner, and more inclusive neighbourhoods.
In her role as Chair of Holborn and St Pancras Conservatives, Esmeralda has helped drive local party engagement, support candidates across the constituency, and promote Conservative values within the community. Recently, she stood as the Conservative candidate in the Camden Square by-election, campaigning on issues including reducing homelessness and rough sleeping, tackling antisocial behaviour, improving community safety, protecting green spaces, enhancing recycling and waste services, and encouraging greater community participation.
More recently, she has also represented the Conservative Party as a candidate in Primrose Hill, focusing on neighbourhood policing, community safety, responsible development, and ensuring residents have a stronger voice in local decision-making. Alongside her political work, Esmeralda has been active in community organisations, serves as a school governor, and works with local residents, police, and voluntary groups to help improve the quality of life across Camden. She is also a member of the Conservative Women's Association.
